Overview
Tarangire is shaped by its river. In the dry months, wildlife from a much larger ecosystem funnels toward the water, and the park fills with elephant, buffalo, zebra and wildebeest.
The scenery is distinctive: swollen baobabs, open acacia parkland and seasonal swamps that hold some of Tanzania's best birdlife.
